What an honor to have known and loved Juanita.  She greeted me when I arrived on staff at RMH in 1994, and we became friends.  She defined professionalism and resilience.  She remained sharp and kind always.  She is a bright star in heaven, leading by example for others even there!

There is so much to say about Juanita! She was a faithful Sentara RMH employee and volunteer for many, many years. I counted her as a friend, having met her around 1988, when I went to work at the hospital and she was involved with the RMH Auxiliary's annual RMH Follies fundraiser.  She truly loved both RMH and the Auxiliary and took pride in her work, no matter what it was. She loved her family and even at an advanced age drove herself to New England alone to see her son and his family (until they finally insisted she take a plane). She also enjoyed playing bingo at the Elkton Volunteer Fire Dept and only stopped when she could no longer drive that far at night. I think she probably kept every card anyone ever sent her, neatly organized in notebooks; she also recorded the sender information in computer spreadsheets (as she told me; I never saw them). She loved sweets, especially chocolate! Juanita was part of that generation that did what had to be done without complaint. Life was not always easy or fair, but she forged ahead with grace and dignity. She was strong and independent and she didn't always mince words! She  touched and influenced many lives. If your life was one of them, you were blessed.

I was so deeply saddened to hear about Juanita's passing.  I had the pleasure of working with her at RMH.  She was always so thoughtful and professional.  I was always in awe of her energy, work ethic, determination, dedication and commitment.  She loved her job.  Her many years of service can attest to that.  She loved her volunteer work.  Even after I no longer worked at RMH and would be there visiting patients, I would run into Juanita volunteering in the hospital's gift shop.  Juanita was a "go getter" for sure.  My heartfelt condolences to her son, grandchildren and family.  Juanita will truly be missed.  

**When Juanita and I worked together in Medical Staff Services, she gave me a tall snowman mug because she knew that I loved snowmen.  That has been many years ago!   I still have and use that mug to this day and I always think of Juanita when I use it.  Precious memories!**

Lew our thoughts  and prayers are with  you and your family.  JUANITA was a little ball of fire  at RMH when she was on a mission.  She was always professional and dressed like one. Her smile was genuine and she loved her job . I  will remember her always as the heartbeat of Rockingham Memorial Hospital.

I was so sorry to hear that Ms. Taylor passed. I knew Juanita from Sentara RMH and always remember her for her energy, smile and gentleness. This little lady could run circles around others.  Juanita and my mom were born in the same year and she would always ask how mom was doing.  
May you rest in peace, Ms Taylor.  You were quite an inspiration to all of us.  ❤️🙏

Lewis, sorry to hear of you mother's death.  I always remember her living above the, I believe, Hill top Grocery Store.  She was a long time volunteer at the hospital's Cherry Corner.  She will be missed by me and all those she interfaced with.

Sonny, so sorry for you and your families loss😔 Everyone that knew  your wonderful Mom❤️ She had a fabulous personality and sharp as a tack! Dressed always to a tee 💕 Your Mom was a class act! I remember at  the last RDTH get together she was taking up money at the door and we (the Garletts family) went over and ask her to come sit with us. She did and I was lucky enough to have her sit beside me💕 I just have to share with you something she said to me. Someone we went to school with (won’t mention the name) said to your Mom, you look exactly like when we went to school with Sonny and gave her a hug! She muttered a very polite Thank you! As soon as the person walked away, she said to me, was that supposed to be a compliment? And then said I do have mirror 🪞 in my house! Now Pam you know I didn’t look like this when Sonny was in school 😂 Her and I got the biggest kick out of that, we giggled every time we looked at each other 😂 Like I said your Mom was a class act and she will be missed❤️

Juanita was one of the sweetest ladies I had the pleasure of knowing meeting her for the first time in the early 80s when I was employed at RMH. She always had a smile on her face and a joy to talk to. Last conversation we had was in 2019 when my mom was a patient at Sentara and I walked into the gift shop and there she was and we walked down memory lane together. She was such a wonderful lady and I treasure my memories of her. My deepest condolences to her family as Heaven gains another angel.

Our deepest sympathy to Lew and the entire Taylor family. It was our great honor to have known Juanita. We will always remember her at the many Remembering Downtown Harrisonburg music events at Belle Meade Restaurant in Harrisonburg.  Godspeed Juanita. We will miss you.
