Milton "Dave" Jacob

He was born on January 4, 1936 in New Jersey and was the son of the late Milton David Jacob, Sr. and Christina Speckhardt Jacob.

Dave lived the majority of his life in New Jersey before moving here 20 years ago. He served in the US Army in France.

Dave retired two weeks ago on October 25, 2011 from DTH Contracting Services, where he was a site attendant at the New Market rest area.

On December 7, 1958 he married Barbara Yolman Jacob, who preceded him in death on September 28, 2000.

He is survived by three sons, Keith Jacob of Broadway, Robert Jacob of Harrisonburg, and Steven Jacob of Timberville; eight grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

There will not be a viewing; and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, November 11, 2011 at the chapel of Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg, with Pastor Chris Maven officiating.
