

A daughter of the late D. Perry and Mary Sonifrank Hottinger, she was born on Aug. 17, 1919 in Rockingham County. Mrs. Robinson grew up in Bergton and lived all of her life in Rockingham County. She graduated from American School in Chicago, IL. Mrs. Robinson enjoyed doing hair at an early age, later becoming a beautician owning Ressie’s Beauty Salon. She was an avid gardener and loved growing violets. Mrs. Robinson was a member of the First Church of the Brethren.
On Oct. 15, 1988 she married Wilson Wiley Robinson who preceded her in death on June 9, 1998.
She is survived by five nieces, Faye Cochran and husband, Wendell of Mt. Jackson; Mary VanPelt and husband, Edwin of Mt. Crawford; Joyce Brinn and husband, Bruce of Harrisonburg; Sharon Turner and husband, Terry; Susan Crider, all of Fulks Run; seven nephews, Richard Davis and wife, Barbara of Harrisonburg; Nolan Davis of Bridgewater; Stuart Davis and wife, Melodie of Linville; Johnny Hottinger and wife, Judy of Bergton; Rodney Miller and wife, Debbie, of Harrisonburg; Larry Combs and wife, Gloria of Port Republic; and Eddie Combs and wife, Brenda of Radford. She is also survived by two brothers-in-law, Lowell H. Miller and Owen Showalter, both of Harrisonburg and one sister-in-law, Mildred Robinson of Bridgewater. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:00 Tuesday evening at the Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at two o’clock Wednesday afternoon from the First Church of the Brethren with the Pastor Dan King and Dr. J. D. Glick officiating. Interment will be in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.
