Born on May 16, 1949, in Lima, Ohio. She was the beloved daughter of the late Carl White and Jesselyn Hays.
In 1993, Amy married Guy Martin and together they shared 31 beautiful years of marriage.
In addition to her parents Amy was preceded in death by her oldest sister, Karen Burnett, and her two brothers Kirk and Lyle White, brother-in-law Gary Martin, nephew Scott Lhamon and great-niece Emily Martin.
She is survived by her loving husband, Guy, her sister Carlene Lhamon (Paul Uppenkamp), sons Chad (Jennifer) Lucas, Bart (Misty) Lucas, granddaughters Lauren and Sara Lucas, grandsons Raedn Lucas, Connor, and Broc Lucas, numerous nieces and nephews from the White and Martin families.
In high school, Amy was a very talented trumpet player and often played for extracurricular events. Upon graduation in Lima, Ohio she went to work for the Coca-cola company. Later moving to Houston, Texas "she was an executive assistant until retiring at the age of 70. Amy had an affinity for shopping, quilts, playing piano, watching sports (especially baseball & football) and traveling with her husband and family.
Two of Guy’s brothers, Glen Martin and Gerald Martin will be the speakers for Amy’s memorial service. Those honored to be pallbearers will be Grady Martin, Ned Powell, Ronald Martin, Adam Martin, David Martin, and Dave Minnis.
The visitation will be Saturday, January 18th at 1:00 pm and the Service at 2:00 pm.
