Anneliese was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her smile would light up the room. She was raised in Germany and came to America with her military husband. She was a strong woman who raised five children, at times by herself, while Dad went to Vietnam and Korea. She loved family, friends, gardening, bingo and in her later years, bowling. She was a wonderful cook and showered neighbors and family with homemade bread.
Mom was very creative and she would sit and paint the front windows every Christmas with scenes of the nativity until she was 82. She loved children and worked as a teacher's assistant at Butler Elementary in Bossier City for 10 years. Spoiling her grandchildren might have been her favorite job of all, though she was constantly praying for everyone.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Franz and Hedwig (Zwinge) Jonen; her husband, Patrick Malloy; son-in-law, Daniel Thorshov; and brothers, Peter, Karlhienz, and Willie Jonen. She is survived by her sons, Patrick Malloy and wife Donna, William Malloy and wife Lessa, Howard Malloy and wife Susan, and Michael Malloy; daughter, Anneliese Thorshov; grandchildren, William Malloy, Brian Malloy, Stephen Malloy, Patrick Michael Malloy, Timer Malloy, Kathleen Malloy Stalder, Barrett Thorshov, Garner Thorshov, Audra Thorshov, and Elizabeth Pate; and nine great-grandchildren.
