She was born in Bloomburg, Texas, to George and Ruby Harrist on May 30, 1928.
Betty was a former resident of Bossier City and a former member of Waller Baptist Church, of Bossier City.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry L. Aulds Jr.; son, James Kenneth Aulds; parents, George and Ruby Harrist; sisters, Dovie Ferguson (Roy), Oreen Nance (Wayne), Naomi Sherman (Norman), Hazel Powell (James); brothers, Nobel Harrist, Curtis Harrist (Opal), LT. Harrist (Helen) and infant grandson, Adam Brandao.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Linda Karen Brandao, Lynette Aulds Moore (Charles); daughter-in-law, Angie Aulds; grandchildren, Todd Aulds (Joni), Greg Aulds (Samantha), Kaylee Aulds, Brian Moore (Christie), Chad Moore (Raven), Patrick Moore, Faith Moore, Lacy Moore and Ryan Brandao; great-grandchildren, Josh, Jacob, John Luke Aulds, Natalie, Ethan, Korbyn Aulds, Jaicy Moore, Audie Smith and Zoey Lynn Moore; great-great-grandson, Kylin Moore; special friends, Sandy Barrett and Pam Sherman.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 18, 2023 from 10:00 until 11:00 am at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel in Haughton, Louisiana. Services will begin at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Brian Moore, Chad Moore, Malcolm Davis and Scotty Aulds.
The family would like to thank the staff of Superior Hospice and to her caregivers, Alice Davenport and Betty Wingate. Also, a special thanks to Angie Aulds for your care the past couple of years.
