Betty Slack Burkett

BOSSIER CITY, LA – Services for Mrs. Betty Jo Slack Burkett will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Central Assembly of God, 700 Hwy 80 in Haughton. Reverend Andy Harris will officiate. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park.

Mrs. Burkett passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at the Aime Hospice Center after a battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born in Leton, LA and was a lifetime resident of Bossier Parish. Mrs. Burkett was a retired cafeteria worker. She was a member of Central Assembly of God and dearly loved her church family.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, W.J. Burkett and daughter, Catherine Ann.

She is survived by three daughters, Sandy Wallace, Gayle Moore (Drew), Linde Guillot (Russell); six grandchildren, many great grandchildren, great- great grandchildren and one brother, J.W. Slack.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and friends.

The family wishes to thank those who lovingly cared for mother at Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home and Aime Hospice Center.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the building fund at Central Assembly, 700 Hwy 80, Haughton, LA 71037.
