

BOSSIER CITY, LA- Services for Billy Joe Van Sandt, 90, will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel on Saturday, January 31, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. with Ministers Tony and Robyn Highwood officiating. A committal service with military honors will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors from 2:00 p.m. until service time on Saturday, January 31, 2015.
Billy was born on March 17, 1924, in Archie, Missouri to parents, Samuel Vinton and Lillian Belle Van Sandt and entered into rest on January 28, 2015, in Bossier City, Louisiana. He answered the call of his country during WW II and Vietnam in the United States Air Force, retiring after 26 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 67 years Ruby G. Van Sandt; 2 brothers and a son- in- law, John Jacob Felux. He is survived by four children, Sandra Van Sandt Felux; Lt. Col. (Dr.) Donald Joe Van Sandt and wife Sally; Denise Van Sandt-Boyd and husband Lynn; Jeannie Van Sandt and one brother Sam; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Honoring Billy as pallbearers will be Dr. Joe Van Sandt, Minister Tony Highwood, Samuel Van Sandt, Scott LaCour, Bro. Calvin Hubbard, and Travis Schupp. Honorary pallbearers will be Lynn Boyd, Hunter, and Jacob LaCour.
