

DOYLINE, LA – Cheryl Kimball Bannon passed away peacefully while resting in her home on March 18, 2015. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 23, 2015, at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with her pastor, Bro. Mike Reichard, officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2015, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Funeral Home located at 601 Highway 80, Haughton, LA.
Cheryl was born on January 28, 1953, to Edgar Kimball, Jr. and Jean Griffith Kimball in New Orleans, LA.
She graduated from Delgado College in New Orleans and became a Registered Respiratory Therapist. She was a wonderful wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and a thoughtful friend to all that knew and loved her. Cheryl’s greatest love in life was her family. She adored her grandchildren and loved baking and creating memories with them. She will be remembered for her generosity and caring nature.
Cheryl met Edward “Eddie” F. Bannon, III at church, and they later married in November 1989. They recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. They made their home in River Ridge, LA and later moved to Doyline, LA. She and her husband have been faithful members of Koran Baptist Church since moving to the area in 2006. She was very active in the church and dearly loved her church family.
She was preceded in death by her father Edgar Kimball, Jr.; grandparents Edgar, Sr. and Lola Kimball; and grandparents Warren and Philippa Griffith.
Cheryl is survived by her loving husband Eddie F. Bannon, III; her son Warren Ross Donaghey and wife Becky; son Justin Ambrose Donaghey and wife Keri; step-daughter Heidi Nash and husband David; step-daughter Amy Bannon; adoring grandchildren Lane, Cassie, Riley, Carter, and Lucas; her mother Jean Griffith Kimball; brother Ed Kimball; and brother Philip Kimball. Cheryl is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Arrazate, Jimmy Hayes, Shawn Kimball, David Nash, John Porter, and Larry Richie.
