CMSgt Dana Scott always had a smile on his face.  The first time I worked with him was when I was a young LT.  Years later, he worked for me as a branch chief.  He touched my life and made me a better person/officer.  I am very sad he is no longer with us.  My condolences for your loss.

I first met Dana in 1999 when I PCSed to the 2nd Supply Squadron at Barksdale AFB, La.  We served together for three years.  In Dana, I found a kindred spirit.  He was an upfront type of person, one in whom you didn't have to worry about hidden agendas when interacting with him.  He was a person of integrity and grit.  During our time at Barksdale and later in retirement, we had quite a few laughs together and even now I'm smiling thinking about his dry sense of humor.  Dana, you will be missed.  To the family, may God comfort and strengthen you.

I to was devastated to hear of the passing of my brother Dana,  we had conversation  on the Saturday pryor to his passing. I will miss our talks . To Michelle and Darien  stay strong. Love you always Aunt Lucille.

Dana and I have been friends for a long, long, long time. We shared a lot of good times and good conversations almost every day until his passing. I am going to truly miss you, my friend. My sincere condolences go out to the family, I love you am always here for you. May God bless each and every one of you.

Our deepest sympathy goes out to the Scott family on the loss of their dear loved one Dana.  Scottie,  as we call him in our Air Force family circle, was a wonderful leader, friend, brother and all around person.  I looked at him as a big brother and exceptional friend over the decades of our professional and personal relationship.  He was always willing to help out and give advice when called upon.  I consider myself fortunate to have had him in my life, and I am so honored to have spoken with him just days before he transitioned.  I recall the best memories of the times spent with him on and off duty, his humor, his kindness and how he made you feel like you were somebody.  There's no doubt he will be missed, and if we all remember the good times and what he meant to each of us individually, I feel he will still be us in some form or fashion.  Rest in peace Scottie, we will miss you my brother.

My condolences to Cheif/Mr. Scott’s family, this is devastating news. I know that this is a difficult time for you and your loved ones. He was a great man and I learned a lot from him. He definitely spoke his mind and cracked me up. I wanted to share a short story with you all, I wish I had the video to share it with you all but unfortunately I haven’t had any luck locating it. I started working with him around 2020 I believe and one story that will always stay close to my heart and will always remember is  that he didn’t care much for the white elephant game at all when it came down for the holiday fun. Let me tell you why, he would start off the exchange with the best gifts and because of the rules and stealing of the gifts he would end up with the gag gift or even worse a woman’s sweater which by the way he tossed immediately although being upset of the his gifts being stolen he was a great sport and had the whole office laughing. After that we decided there would be no more white elephant and do secret Santa with suggestions of what people like to give the other some ideas to make it easier and no one would be disappointed but let me tell you someone still messed that up as well because he was like there was no thought placed into the gift which happened to be a gift card  or a candle if I remember correctly. I really enjoyed my time working with him and learned a lot. May you cherish all the memories you shared and the lord continue to watch over you and your family. I will continue to pray for you all, your father will be truly missed and meant a lot to so many people. 🕯️ 🙏🏽
