David Michael Cummings was born in Sedan, Kansas on April 5th 1951, to Earnest Edward Cummings and Inez Eloise Humphrey Cummings. On May 18th 2023, in Bossier City, Louisiana, David went on to greener pastures.
David was one of twelve children and left at a very early age to work on the pipeline. He was a horseman at heart so he began his Thoroughbred racing career. This is where he met the love of his life, Linda Kay Clements. The were married in Imperial, Nebraska November 23rd 1972, and celebrated 50 years of marriage. To this union was born Justin Michael and Joshua Luke. David was a great father and grandfather. He loved with all his heart and was so proud of each of them. David helped coach Tee ball and on to baseball. David raced Thoroughbred Horses in Nebraska, Louisiana, Texas and Arkansas. He had a way with horses. David was a great friend to so many, always willing to help others out when in need. He was a great storyteller, some true, some you wondered about, with the twinkle in his eye and grin told the rest of the story.
