Dollie Dean Jimmerson

Services celebrating the life of Dollie Dean Jimmerson will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Pastor Tommy Patton officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time.

Dollie was born in Quitman, LA on June 2, 1927. She was a longtime resident of Benton and a member of Cypress Baptist Church. She loved to cook and kept an immaculate house. She was a gifted dominoes player and started a group game of dominoes at church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude "Bub" Jimmerson; son, Jimmy Jimmerson and his wife, Mary Ann; sisters, Neda Williams and an infant sister, "Little Sis"; son-in-law, Dave Heitz; grandson-in-law, Mike Woods; brother, Harold Lay; parents; Will and Annie Mae Lay and her beloved grandparents "Papa and Granny".

Dollie is survived by her son, Ronny Jimmerson and wife Gwenda; daughter, Barbara White and husband Benny; grandchildren, Amy Woods, Shirilana Ashmore and husband Brian, Krystyna Anderson and husband Jason, Elisabeth Nelson and husband Brett, Joseph Jimmerson and wife Stephanie; great grandchildren, Candice Woods, Emily Anderson, Brennan Ashmore, Gwendolyn Crabtree, Adison Ashmore, Emma Crabtree, Taryn Anderson, Grace Ashmore, Mattie Jimmerson, Collin Nelson, Cohen Jimmerson, Oliver Anderson, Adilynne Nelson; great-great grandchildren, Gabriel Wagar and Evie Kate Thornell and "Granny's Granddaughter" Ashley Shelton and sister, Billie "Happy" Stewart as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Brian Ashmore, Jason Anderson, Brett Nelson, Joseph Jimmerson, Brennan Ashmore, Adison Ashmore and Jeff Melahn.

The family would like to thank Barbara and Benny White (loving daughter and son-in-law and caregivers), Amy Woods (her granddaughter and special caregiver) and Krystyna Anderson; and Willis Knighton Hospice, especially Angela Blake and Lucy Grove for the special and attentive care they provided Dollie.
