Elizabeth Yvonne Maness

BLANCHARD, LA – Services celebrating the life of Elizabeth Yvonne Maness will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 24, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Blanchard, 201 N. Attaway St. in Blanchard. Pastor Doug Allen will be officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens North Cemetery in Blanchard. The family will be receiving friends for visitation on Thursday, February 24, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Blanchard.

Liz was born in Columbia County, AR on April 22, 1932 and passed away in Shreveport, LA on February 20, 2017. She was a member of her church since 1955. Among her many talents was cooking. Her pecan pie was a favorite of her family and friends. She not only was an extraordinary baker, it was that every dish prepared by her was from her heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Durwood and Floy Sarah Faulk, and her siblings, Hilda Booth, Ruby Gunnels, Johnson Faulk, Roy Faulk, Roger Faulk and Glenn Faulk.

Liz is survived by her loving husband, David L. Maness; daughters, Sherry Odom and husband Earl, Rebecca Simmons and husband David; son, David L. Maness, Jr. and wife Linda; sister, Dorothy Bruce; brother, Durwood Faulk, Jr. and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and loving friends.

Pallbearers will be Steve Tompkins, Ronny Welch, Sam Welch, Terral Whetstone, Doug McCoy and Ronnie Cassell.
