

Mrs. Moreland was the widow of Paxton Williams "Zip" Moreland, a former principal of Haughton High School, and the couple was very active in the Haughton community for many years.
She was a 1934 graduate of Benton High School, a former Miss Bossier Parish, and a contestant in the Miss Louisiana contest. She was a lover of music and an accomplished pianist and organist.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of the Hill Crest Funeral Home Friday, Nov. 27, at 3 p.m. with burial to follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Friday. Dr. Graham Riggs, senior minister of First
Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Bossier City, will conduct the services.
Mrs. Moreland was also preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lyles Wyche and Myra Taylor Wyche; her son, Paxton Williams Moreland Jr., and former husband Elworth J. Cooper.
Survivors include her sister, Eugenia Wyche Arrington of Shreveport; sister-inlaw, Nellie M. Wyche of Benton; daughter, Elizabeth M. Caperton of Chattanooga, TN, and her husband, Frank; granddaughter, Catherine Hamilton of Chattanooga, TN, and her husband, Andrew; grandson, Robert H. Caperton of Indianapolis, IN, and two great grandsons, Drew and Robbie Hamilton, both of Chattanooga, TN.
Pallbearers will be Frank Caperton, Robert Caperton, Andrew Hamilton, Bobby Wyche, and Gary Wyche.
