Beth was an amazing woman. As a child she was known for her head full of curls, winning second place in the Little Miss Sunbeam contest. She was a loving big sister to her younger siblings.
As a young woman she was a devoted wife, supporting her husband of 57 years in his many endeavors, whether he was bus driving, roofing, or farming, she always had a hot meal ready for him. She was an adoring mother to her daughter, starting the PTA at her school.
Beth was the best grandmother there ever was, having her three granddaughters for sleepovers full of snacks and crafts.
Beth was most proud of her great grandchildren, doting on them every chance she got with love and affection. She lived in the present and was very involved with her greatest loves; she never missed a game, cheer competition, field day, or other celebration.
Beth was a woman of many hobbies and just as many talents. She could often be found in the flower bed, caring for her pansies, roses, and clematis. She made cakes for countless birthdays and weddings, teaching her eldest granddaughter how to decorate them, too. She was a member of the Country Diamonds line dance team, where she performed all over the region, including the Red River Revel. She spent some years as an ostrich farmer, decorating the eggs for craft shows. No matter what crazy things she was doing, she was doing it with her best friend and “partner in crime”, Betty Dark. She was a Godly woman and a proud member of Bellaire Baptist Church for over fifty years. She loved her church family dearly.
Beth was many things to many people. A lover, a mother, a Mommaw, a confidant, a friend. She will be greatly missed.
