Elva Irene Gaardsmoe Elashewich

Services celebrating the life of Elva Elashewich will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2012

at 12:00 noon at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Rev. Sig Kunz of Immanuel Lutheran Church officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 13, 2012 from

5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Funeral Home.

Elva was born on March 5, 1931 to parents Lars and Margaret Gaardsmoe. She loved everyone and was a “Mom” and “Nanny” to all who knew her. She had a great love for her

family and friends. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, two brothers, and her loving husband Nicholas.

Left to cherish her memory are three daughters; Diana Ward of Evergreen, LA; Alaina Houghton-Smith and husband John of Bossier City; Nicole Gordano and husband Gavin of Bossier City, LA; two sisters, Clara Haine and Hilda Seney of North Dakota. She is also remembered by her five grandchildren who were her pride and joy; Fields Gordano, Garrett Gordano, Mitchell Houghton, Aaron Smith, Danielle Ward, and one great granddaughter Avery Marie Gordano, all of Bossier City, LA.

Pallbearers will be John L. Smith, Mitchell Houghton, Garrett Gordano, Gavin Gordano, James Rachal, and Chris King.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dillon Moseley, E.J. Davis, Michael Sparrow, and Aaron Smith.
