Floyd Odom, 56, of Haughton, LA went to be with his Lord, January 11, 2021. Floyd was born December 24, 1964, in Alexandria, LA as one of twins, to the proud parents of Ella Mae and McKinley Odom.

He was a loving husband, father, uncle, and friend. He married the love of his life, Mira in 1985, in Oakdale, LA. They moved to Haughton, LA, where they raised three sons, Jonathan, 31; Wesley, 27; Collin 17. He was the proud owner of his small business, Floyd Odom Enterprises, LLC, where he made numerous friends in the Northwest LA area.

Floyd was devoted to his church, and he enjoyed serving others, hunting, camping, traveling with his family, and taking care of his horse, Pistol. He lived life to the fullest.

He will greatly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Floyd’s memory include: his wife of 35 years, Mira; three sons, Jonathan, Wesley, and Collin; mother, Ella Mae; twin brother, Lloyd and wife, Janelle; and two sisters, Linda Young and husband, Tommy, and Barbara Odom.

Floyd is preceded in death by his father, McKinley; and brothers, Matthew and Arblee.

Visitation for friends and family will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. and home going service will immediately follow, to celebrate Floyd’s life at 1:00 p.m. at the Pentecostals of Bossier City, 2833 Viking Drive Bossier City, LA 71111, with Pastor Jerry Dean presiding. Burial will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park in Haughton, LA.

Pallbearers include Andrew Odom, Craig Bushnell, Mike Shaw, Terry Harris, Thurman Covey, Jr. , Mathie McGrath; and Honorary pallbearers include Thomas “Bubba” Lee and Charles Pierce.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to missions in care of Pentecostals of Bossier City.

Mira, so very sorry for your loss. You introduced me to Floyd a few years ago, and he impressed me as being a fine, hard-working young man who loved his family very much. I'm sorry for your loss Odom family. I believe the clearing of my land in Faith Estates was possibly the last project Floyd completed. I'm so thankful for the work he did and happy to have met him before his passing. God bless you.

The greatest memory of all is that I knew that our family was always close even if we were not next-door neighbors ,we were blood . I love and miss him very much and will always have a special place in my life ,my eyes ,& in my heart, he made a difference in my life. I love you Little Man.
