George R. Jenkins

Funeral services for George R. Jenkins, 80, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 2010 at the Hill Crest Funeral Home Chapel, with Chaplain Craig Kennedy officiating. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park, with full military honors.Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until service time Thursday, at Hill Crest Funeral Home.

Mr. Jenkins entered into rest February 28, 2010 in Bossier City. He was a retired 1st. Sgt. with the U.S. Army with twenty years of service, and served in the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-nine years Janell Jenkins; sons, Reginald W. Jenkins and wife Becky of Warner Robbins, GA; Dennis R. Jenkins and wife Lori of Bossier City, LA; daughters, Debbie A. Jenkins and special friend Beth Preston of Atlanta, GA; Barbara K. Smith of Shreveport, LA; two sisters, Connie Moody and Ruby Massey;brother, Bill Jenkins; sister-in-law, LaRue Jenkins; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bob and Martha Huffmaster; four grandchildren, Kristin Murphy and husband Patrick; Natalie Spaur and husband Delbert; Tracy Jenkins, and Daniel Jenkins; two great-grandchildren, Trevor Murphy and Kaitlyn Spaur.
