Gloria Gordon Holdsworth

Haughton, LA –Gloria Gordon Holdsworth, 73, passed away on September 25, 2011 at Grace Home with her loved ones by her side. She was a constant joy to her family and they were the focus of her every thought and deed. The love with which she surrounded them will sustain them until they can hold her hand in theirs again.

Gloria was preceded in death by her late husband Richard Holdsworth, Sr., Sister Lois Guertman, and Brother Bill Gordon.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Michael Holdsworth and wife Carol, Richard “Bubba” Holdsworth, II and wife Sonya, Dana Isom and husband Bernie, Jamie Tyler and husband David, and Sandy Holdsworth. Grandchildren Rayenell Sessions (Robert), Carrie DeVries (Maurice), Miche’al Keene (Steve), Erin Gibson (Jon), Tyler Holdsworth, Peyton Holdsworth, Dawson Holdsworth, Richard “Trey” Holdsworth, III, (Lacey), Logan Holdsworth, Kasey Holdsworth, Krista Holdsworth, Chesney Finley (Doug), Seth Tyler and Presley Tyler, brothers Kenneth Gordon and Ricky Gordon, and 13 great grandchildren. Also, Gloria was surrounded by the love of the many children and grandchildren of the Brandon and Ripoll families.

Honoring Ms. Holdsworth as pallbearers will be Richard “Trey” Holdsworth, III, Tyler Holdsworth, Steve Keene, Jon Gibson, Doug Finley and Robert Sessions. Honorary Pallbearer Gerald “Slick” Hardy.

The family would like to thank the staff at Grace Home for their loving and compassionate care. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or Grace Home of Shreveport.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 from 5pm to 7pm at Hill Crest Funeral Home in Haughton. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 10 am at Hill Crest Funeral Home in Haughton with Pastor Gevan Spinney officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Cemetery.
