Helen Marie Logan entered this world on May 06, 1931 in Elgin, TX. She was the eldest of four girls and one son who died in infancy, born to Jimmie Lee Logan of Elgin, TX and Annie Mills Logan of Madisonville, TX. Helen graduated from Madisonville High School where she was known as PeeWee on the softball field - all 86 lbs. of her.
Helen met and later married Arthur H. Peck on August 18, 1951. She adapted to being a military wife and embraced motherhood having given birth to three children. She was always a very hands-on Mom being involved in whatever activities her children could be in.
She enjoyed doing volunteer work in Girl and Boy Scouts, was cheerleader Mom and organizer, did volunteer work in the Hickam AFB Chapel as Children's Church Organizer and Secretary/Office Manager.
After her son entered elementary school, Helen joined the work force in fashion retail working for Palais Royal, Selber Brothers and Beall Ladymon's as a fashion buyer.
It's safe to say, that whatever Helen did, she did it at greater than 100%.
In addition to being a dedicated wife and mother, she was also the best mother-in-law, Nanny and Nan. When her boys married, Helen made it her mission to teach her daughters-in-law how to cook and drive and helped them when they had children.
Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur H. Peck; her parents, Jimmie Lee Logan and Annie Mills Logan; two sisters, Bettye Jo and Bonnie; one brother, James, who died in infancy.
She is survived by her three children, Cheryl Peck and granddaughter, Brande Marie Miller and one great grandson, Brandon James Miller; Arthur W. Peck and wife Laura and grandson, Henry Peck; Mark Peck, wife Flavia and grandson, Joshua Peck; one sister, Barbara Ann Logan Miller and many nieces and nephews.
Helen had a very blessed life to have lived 91 years in relatively good health.
Special thanks to all of our friends for their support and efforts during this difficult time of learning to navigate life without our fearless mother and friend. Also special thanks to the amazing staff at Garden Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility and LifePath Hospice.
We thank you especially, Father God, for the miracle life and gift of Helen Marie Logan Peck.
