Services for Jack Chambless, Jr., 78, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home in Haughton, Louisiana. Officiating will be Dr. Carl Rhoads, Associate Pastor, Senior Adults, of First United Methodist Church. The family will be receiving visitors at 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park.
Jack was born on March 16, 1943, in Gilliam, Louisiana, and passed away on February 22, 2022, at MD Anderson Cancer Center, in Houston, Texas. He fought a brave and courageous battle with Stage 4 Metastatic Lung Cancer.
Jack was a Production Supervisor at Exide Technologies, Inc. and retired in 2006 after completing 38 years of service. He also proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1966-1968.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Chambless, Sr. and Pearl Lollis Chambless; and sister, Virginia Ann Chambless. Survivors include his devoted wife of 56 years, Barbara Chambless; one daughter, Tiffany Chambless Ristroph and husband Kevin, of The Woodlands, TX; two granddaughters, Caroline Elizabeth Ristroph and Mary Claire Ristroph; and one brother, William Arthur Chambless and wife, Iris, of Shreveport.
Jack was a kind and selfless man that loved and adored his family. He will be extremely missed by his family and friends, but wonderful memories will provide comfort.
