A Memorial Mass for Mr. James A. Guillory will be held on Friday March 4, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church in Bossier City, LA, with Ftr. Rev. Fidel Mongragon, presiding. The Committal Service will at 1:00 p.m. with Navy Honors Hill Crest Memorial Park, in Haughton, LA.
James A Guillory passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022 at the age of 92 in Farmerville, LA. He was born in Lacassine, LA. He was raised in South Louisiana which he called "God's country". Later he relocated to Bossier City where he resided for approximately 40 years. He was a devoted member of the Bossier City Council Knights of Columbus for 67 years. He served his country in the United States Navy. He was an avid outdoors man, enjoying hunting and fishing and was most happy when cooking for large gatherings of friends or family; especially frying fish, which he proudly caught himself.
Survivors include: his children, Darrell Guillory of Farmerville, LA, Linda Guillory Nolen (Chris) of West Monroe, LA, Lane Guillory (Carol) of Shreveport, LA, and Russell Guillory of Sarasota, FL; brother Ray Guillory; grandchildren, Lori Nolen Rockett (Marc), Lindsey Nolen Sanders (Case), Erin Guillory and Ethan Guillory; great grandchildren Kaitlyn Rockett, Nolen Rockett, Katheryn Guillory, Hayes Sanders, Max Sanders and Presley Sanders; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Guillory was preceded in death by: his wife of 65 years, Buressa Bell Guillory; parents, Alex Guillory and Pauline Ardoin Guillory; twelve siblings, and grandson Ian Guillory.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, MD Anderson Cancer Center or charity of choice.
