Janette was born in Zwolle, Louisiana and grew up in Cotton Valley and Bossier City. She was a graduate of Bossier High School.
Janette lived a life true to her profession as a beautician and hairdresser for over fifty years. She lived a life full of glitter, sequins, make-up and hair spray. She loved her friends and family fiercely and with a wild red-headed passion.
Despite kidney and heart disease over the last decade of her life, Janette made it a point to prove the medical profession wrong and live her life independently and to the fullest until her last day. She was a warrior until the end.
