Jeffrey Martin Hicks, AKA “Pops” and “PawPaw”, was born on October 22, 1953, in Dawson’s Creek, British Columbia, Canada. Jeff passed away on September 10, 2024, after having complications of a cardiovascular disease. He was 70 years old. He left this world both comfortably and peacefully, with his children there and his girlfriend by his side.
Jeff was a 1971 graduate of Airline High School where he met his wife of 48 years, Brenda Joyce Graham Hicks. He and Brenda were married until she passed in 2022. He worked in the Oil and Gas industry his entire life and started his production company, Hallmark Oil & Gas in 1992. He grew it into a very successful company that allowed him to be generous to others in need. His son, Justin, helped him over the last few years so that he could retire and enjoy life and travel.
Jeff was a cherished and generous father, grandfather, mentor, brilliant businessman, and friend. He loved his kids and grandkids fiercely. He and his girlfriend, Pat, enjoyed traveling in their RV with their dogs Harley and Popcorn. On their most recent RV trip, Jeff and Pat went to The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, a longtime dream of his. He got to ride his motorcycle down Mainstreet. When he wasn’t traveling, he loved riding motorcycles, driving his Shelby, and poker nights with friends. Jeff and his friends were known to cause a ruckus at their morning breakfasts. He was a frequent visitor to sports games where he could be found sitting in his “usual” seat. He loved going to the gym to work on his social physique! Jeff could light up the room with his smile and red-faced, contagious laughter. To know him was to love him. He was loyal, kind, and always willing to fight for those he loved.
