2020, at Hillcrest Cemetery, with Pastor Bill Britt officiating.
Jeff was born December 3, 1957 to LaVerne and Jules Schooler in Shreveport, Louisiana.
He was raised in Haughton and graduated from Haughton High School in 1975, and attended
Louisiana Tech. Jeff was a big man with a big heart, and always ready to give a big smile, hug,
and a tall tale. He had a lot of jobs in his life, but always returned to the ones that dealt with
people. He spent his last years selling jewelry at Naghi's in the French Quarter, in New Orleans,
a place that he felt in tune with. Jeff's friends will agree that the world has lost a unique, big-
hearted friend, and will surely miss him, but we are glad that he is now at peace.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brother John Norris Schooler of Orlando, Florida; his son, Sandy Schooler, his wife Melissa; their three children, McKenzie, Hunter, and Garret of Haughton. He found out later in life that he had a biological daughter that was given up for adoption at birth named Cecelia Vienne Lummus. She is married to Brent Lummus and they have two children, Juliana and Brennan of Houston, TX.
Pallbearers will be Marty Hendrix, Jacob Hendrix, and Seth Hendrix, Jason Westerman, and four other stout volunteers from the crowd. (Because Jeff was a big ole boy!)
