Jimmie Tarr Jarratt

Jim was a Staff Sergeant in the Air Force. He was a founding member of Broadmore Assembly of God in Shreveport. Then later became a member and deacon of First Baptist Church of Bossier for many years. Jim retired from Kansas City Southern Railroad after 40 plus years of work. He was known by many people to be charming, warm and friendly. He was a man of faith and enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Elston and Hazel Jarratt; sisters, Iris Jarratt, Mary Baker and Betty Jo Carrington; first wife of 51 years, L. Marie Jarratt.

He is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Ann Jarratt; daughter, Vickie Wakely and husband Richard; step-daughter, Tammy Markham; step-son, Tommy Crawford and wife Leanne; grandchild Samantha Nicole Lister and husband Ronald; step-grandchildren Adam Wakely and wife Rosemary, Jaye Collins and husband Ben, Thomas Crawford and wife Courtney, John Crawford and wife Amber, Phillip Gomez and wife Heather, Katy Gomez; and many great-grandchildren.

Serving as Pallbearers are: Ricky Barfoot, Thomas Crawford, Tommy Crawford, Ronald Lister, Adam Wakely, and Richard Wakely.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Thursday, February 3rd at Hill Crest Funeral Home, 601 US-80 East, Haughton, LA 70137. The funeral service will follow visitation beginning at 2:00 PM at the same location.
