

A Memorial Mass, in her honor, will be held, Saturday, March 4th at 12:30 pm, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 425 McCormick St., Bossier City, Louisiana (318) 221-0238.
JoAnn was born Tuesday July 12, 1938, within the ‘Land Of Enchantment’, in the town of Raton, New Mexico, to the proud parents Charles and Edna Gasperetti. JoAnn was raised in Raton and graduated high school there before later moving to El Paso, Texas for 19 years. Next, in 1979, it was on to her new home in Bossier City, Louisiana where she remained and raised a family.
JoAnn loved church and helping in any way possible with St. Jude and Basilica Catholic Charities. She enjoyed traveling, watching horse racing, relaxing, and watching T.V. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved watching them play sports.
Preceding her in death were: father, Charles Gasperetti; mother, Edna Gasperetti; brother, Robert Gasperetti; sister, Charlene Baker; daughter, Patty Jo Spencer; and son-in-law, Patrick Steinberg.
Mrs. Spencer is survived by: husband of 63 years, Ray O. Spencer; daughters, Deianna (& Don) Simington, Charla (& Glen) Wolfe, Sandy Steinberg.
Left to cherish the memory of their “Granny” are: grandchildren, Trisha (& Bryan) Tarbutton, Jarid (& Marina) Simington, Garrett (&Kristi) Steinberg, Kaydee Crissup; great-grandkids, Brantley Tarbutton, Adler Tarbutton, Birkley Steinberg; along with many nieces and nephews.
She will be greatly missed !
In remembrance of JoAnn’s life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to Christ the King Catholic Church in Bossier City, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
