I extend my sincere condolences to the Crawford family during this time of loss. Almost 40 years ago, through my sister Pam, I had the pleasure of meeting John, as well as his wife Ruth, before her passing. Fond memories still linger from visits together through the years. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family during this difficult time.......Judy.

Mr. Crawford and his dear Ruth were our neighbors and friends since 2007.  They were also next door neighbors, and great friends with Henry (d. 2008) and Rachel (d. 2016) Stroud (our dear friends too).  Mr. Crawford, myself and my husband shared our Air Force service, and Henry, just a little before all our time, his Army Air Corps enlistment.  Mr. Crawfird and I shared a love of Literature, British television, British movies,  and literally, just about everything.  Mr. Crawford loved working in his workshop, with Zena standing watch.  He liked his pipe and a nip of Rye, while I a Bourbon, with chin in hand,  loved to listen to all he had to tell.  He was fascinating, smart, and funny as ...  I hadn't been able to visit for a while due to Covid, but it was always my habit to say, as I drove home from Barksdale AFB, "Hey, Mr. Crawford", just as I rounded the corner for home, to Lawrence Circle. So sorry to hear Mr. Crawford passed away. We only talked to him a few times as neighbors. Sending prayers to his family & friends.  God bless.
