While his story began in the wilderness of Alaska, it truly took root in the bayous and backroads of Louisiana where he spent 53 of his 61 years.
If there was an adventure to be had, he was right in the middle of it. By the time he was 11, he was already trapping, hunting and fishing on his own. He was the kind of guy that didn't just tell stories about catching and handling alligators, he actually did it- more than once or twice!
After receiving a medical discharge from the Army, Randy began building a resume that reads more like an action movie script than a career path. He did construction and concrete work and even became an animal control officer for the City of Bossier for awhile. He had a soft spot for anything with 4 legs and a little bit of fight in it-maybe because he recognized a kindred spirit! That fearless spirit he was born with led him to the back of bucking bulls and into the exciting worlds of "Bounty hunting" and private investigation. He eventually worked in Oilfield sales where his charisma and deep roots in Louisiana allowed him to thrive.
He was stubborn-He was rowdy, but he'd give you his last dime or his honest opinion- usually both! Randy was a BIG storyteller and "LOOKY HERE!" most every word was the truth!
His family and a whole lot of friends are going to find this world a little quieter without him. His stories of the hunt, the ride, and the road will be cherished, remembered and no doubt repeated by all of us who loved him.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents, John C. and Gay Fuller. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne; brother, Michael Fuller; sisters and brothers in law, Tracy and Randy Armstrong, Pam and Ronnie Hollis, Mara Romo and Wendy Paynter. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Although he had no biological children, he helped raise 3 sons, Jacob Massey and Garrett and Joseph Gatlin. He also had 3 granddaughters that he adored, Jaycee and Avelyn Massey and Maylee Gatlin.
