Memorial services for John R. Killian Jr will be held Sunday, November 20, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home in Haughton, La with Rev. Jimmy Speight officiating. Friends may visit with the family Sunday, November 20, 2022 from 1:00 PM until service time.
John R. Killian Jr. was born on May 31, 1970 in Many, LA to John R. Killian Sr. and Eula Mae Killian. He passed away on November 14, 2022 in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
John began working in the logging & farm industry alongside his father as a child. As an adult, he began what would become more than a thirty plus year career in the oil & gas industry. While home from his rotations, John also worked part-time for the Sabine Parish Police Department and volunteered with the Florien Fire Department.
John is preceded in death by his parents, John R. Killian Sr. and Eula Mae Killian; and sister, Gloria Killian. He is survived by his son, John Caleb Killian (Casi) of Natchitoches, LA; daughter, Jaicee Ann Killian of Youngsville, LA; sister, Debbie Killian of Bossier City, LA; brother, Ben Killian of San Antonio, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
John enjoyed sitting on his porch drinking coffee and socializing with friends and family. It was a rarity that he met a stranger and he could strike up a conversation about anything. John loved living his life to the fullest, being the life of the party, and always had plans for the next big trip. With an infectious laugh and a smile that could light up any room, he could make any situation fun.
