Joyce was born in White Earth Minnesota on September 2, 1936 to parents, Rufus John and Veronica Marie Leaf and passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in Shreveport, Louisiana on Saturday, August 9, 2014. She was a loving mother, grandmother and a sister who will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandmother, Elizabeth Jane Saice; a brother, Dean Duane Leaf and a sister, Wanda Ann Leaf. She is survived by her daughters, Jennie Marie Baker and husband Jim, Jennifer Joanne Sonnier and husband Rebel; grandsons, Andrew James DeFee and Jacob Brian MacFaddin; granddaughters Eve Rochelle DeFee ands Chastity Rogene MacFaddin; brothers, Rufus James Leaf, Rodney John Leaf, Ross Jay Leaf and Garrie Ray Leaf and a sister, Melody Jeanette Mortenson.
