Katherine Eloise Mammarelli, nee Angell was born on December 9, 1937 in Nashville, Tennessee to Edgar and Edith Angell. She died Tuesday, December 9, 2025. She preceded in death by her parents, brother Nick Angell; son, Jerry; daughter, Pam and her husband, Nicholas. She is survived by her brother, Edgar Angell; son Mark and his wife Debora; daughter, Lisa Gray and her husband, Rusty; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
On October 16, 1954, Eloise married her high school sweetheart and began her life as a proud United States Air Force wife. She enjoyed traveling to different bases throughout the US and France, always supporting and encouraging Nick. Much of her time over the years was spent "holding down the fort" with four children while Nick was away serving his country. Through all the sacrifices and challenges, she never backed down and was a constant point of light to her family.
Eloise was extremely talented and had many hobbies. She was an accomplished artist and superb seamstress. She also liked to bowl, knit, play pinochle, and the piano. However, her greatest joy came from watching her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren grow.
Eloise was a devout Catholic and faithful member of Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bossier City. She was active in Ladies' Guild and could be found in the kitchen during any church event.
The family wishes to thank Bloom Senior Living for their exceptional care of Eloise while there. We also extend heartfelt gratitude to Malcolm and Kay McAbee for their years of love and friendship.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
A visitation for Eloise will be held Monday, December 15, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM a Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, 601 Hwy 80 E., Haughton, Louisiana 71037. A celebration of life will follow at 10:00 AM.
