

BOSSIER CITY, LA – A Graveside Service with military honors for Keith Norman Rabinowitz will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Park at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2013 with Rabbi Jana De Benedetti officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home. Keith was born February 25, 1933 and died May 24, 2013.
Retired Lt. Colonel Keith N. Rabinowitz, affectionately known to all as “Pokey,” was a Vietnam veteran who held many titles including Director of Missile Maintenance at Barksdale A.F.B. He was a member of the Shreveport Lion’s Club and spent 10 years helping others through the Eye Care program. Most recently, Keith loved to vacation in Orange Beach, Alabama with his family. He was an expert on “Gone with the Wind” and it earned him an interview in the paper.
Keith Rabinowitz was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Phoebe Rabinowitz and survived by his wife of 59 years Rita, daughter Cindy Rabinowitz, son Mike Rabinowitz and wife Floy, daughter Sharon Robert and husband David, and daughter Gail Rabinowitz, grandchildren Joshua Robert and wife Sommer, Joseph Robert, Ben Rabinowitz, Matt, and Amy Claire Rabinowitz.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to B’nai Zion 245 Southfield Road, Shreveport 71105, or the cause of your choice, to serve as a legacy to honor Keith’s memory.
