A Life Celebration in honor of Kenneth C. Scott, Jr. will be held 10AM, Friday, June 2, 2017 at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home. The family will welcome visitors from 5 PM to 7PM on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at the Funeral Home.
Kenneth was born to Kenneth and Delores Scott on August 28, 1965 in Salina, KS. He proudly served his country in the Air Force for four years following High School, and then began a career with G&G Distributing (now Glazer’s) at the age of 22, where he remained for the last 29 years; most recently as a District Sales Manager. Ken was a loving Son, Father, Grandfather, Uncle, a devoted brother and a friend to so many. He lived life to its fullest and enjoyed watching the Grandkids grow, sunny afternoons on the golf course, weekends in front of the TV watching NASCAR or LSU Football, camping and let’s not forget dancing. Ken passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 26, 2017 and his constant smile will be missed by too many people to count.
Preceding him in death are his father Kenneth Claude Scott, Sr., nephew Evan Scott Sharp, grandparents Claude and Hazel Scott and grandparents Carmen and Joe Torres. Left to Cherish his memory are his mother Christina Delores Scott, daughter Kristen Lee Marbut with husband Cole, daughter Sarah Kasey Scott, son Steven Kyle Scott, sister Cindy Scott Sharp with husband Greg, grandchildren Tanner Lane and Rylan Kane Marbut, niece Jordan McGinty, nephew Cole Sharp and last but certainly not least Rosie his German Shepherd.
Serving as pallbearers for Friday’s service are Kyle Scott, Cole Sharp, Cole Marbut, Greg Sharp, Todd Cummings, John Nicholson, Mike Plunkett , Jerry Williams and honorary pallbearer Johnny Clifton.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in his name to The American Cancer Society’s breast cancer program. https://donate3.cancer.org
