

Leland I. Dagg, beloved husband, father, and friend, was called to be with his Lord on November 7, 2024. Born on August 9, 1937, in Aden, IL to Vern and Georgia (Kingston) Dagg. After high school, Leland enrolled in the Air Force and from boot camp he went straight to Barksdale where he met and married the love of his life, Esther B. Dagg on July 3, 1959. Shortly after, he was deployed to Thule, Greenland.
Leland spent his career within the realm of Finance. He spent over three decades helping people as the Finance Director for General Finance, Century Finance, and other local Auto Dealerships. He also served a stint as the Branch President of Bank of Benton, before closing out his career with the Federal Government (HUD Office, Shreveport). He loved spending time with his family and friends. In younger years, he loved racing stock cars; and in later years, watching stock car racing. He enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting, RV'ing, watching television, and rooting for the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Astros. He was a member of Heritage Baptist Church in Bossier City.
He is survived by daughter, Deborah Weishaar (Steven) of DeFuniak Springs, FL; son, Joseph Dagg (Jennifer) of Charles Town, WV; seven grandchildren, Kerstin Poole (Dave), Zoey Workman (Tyler), Kiya Dagg, Tabor Dagg, Sage Meiling, Violet Meiling, and Max Meiling; two great grandsons, Cooper Poole and Stetson Workman; two brothers, Bill Dagg (Connie) of Wayne City, IL and Dale Dagg of Centralia, IL and numerous nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife Esther; his parents; brothers, Delano Dagg and Bob Dagg; sisters, Doris Johnson, Judy Starr, Sena Daulton, and Mary Lowry.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 18, 2024 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Pastor, Cole Melton officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends for visitation on Sunday, November 17, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Hill Crest.
Pallbearers will be Leon Dagg, Danny Dagg, Bryan Bauldree, Marty Dagg, Brandon Dagg, and Nick Dagg.
