Lloyd retired from General Motors where he wore numerous hats in many different areas. The highlight of his long career was having the privilege of escorting President Bill Clinton through the plant alongside the Secret Service. He often said he did not miss the job, but he sure missed the people.
Lloyd was an Air Force Veteran, Patriot Guard Rider, former police officer, President of the Greenwood Chamber of Commerce and a Caddo Parish Auxiliary Deputy.
Lloyd was a kind, generous man who loved his wife, daughter, family, pets, friends, camping, cool cars, motorcycles, his country, community, and the Lord. He always had a kind word, an incredible sense of humor, and generously gave of himself with the sincerity of a kind and compassionate heart. He never met a stranger- they were just friends he hadn't met yet, but give him a couple minutes for the words to flow and you could feel the friendship grow.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Elizabeth Carter and brother, Milford Carter.
Lloyd is survived by his wife, Angie; daughter Brittany and fiance' Michael; brother, Calvin and wife Dorsey; nephews, Mark and Donavin; sisters, Charlotte Braswell and Mary Beth (John) Ritter; niece Lacey, many great nieces and nephews, and many, many friends.
