Louise Walker Johnson, 86, was met at Heavens Gates by her beloved Stan, on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, following a courageous battle with cancer. She passed peacefully in the comforts of her home, surrounded by loving family. Louise was born Tuesday, August 23, 1938, in Gayles, Louisiana to the late JT and Essie M. Kelly Walker.
Louise won the title of Miss Bossier City in her younger years. She retired as the head secretary and personal assistant for Pat Beard with E.F. Hutton Stockbrokerage. Louise had the opportunity to travel the world with her husband Stan. They enjoyed traveling together and accompanying each other on cruises.
Louise had the type of personality most of us dream of possessing. She was able to engage with anyone, she blended in anywhere, and she had a way of leaving others with a good feeling of themselves no matter what their backgrounds. Louise had a special gift of comfort to others; she would be at the cancer center for treatments and instead of talking about herself; Louise would have others talk about themselves so for a brief moment they forgot about their troubles and simply enjoyed a moment in time without the stresses of their realities. Louise and nephew Steve would take cars and bears with them on cancer treatment days for the children that would be there. She loved putting smiles on their angelic faces.
Louise never met a stranger, she absolutely loved everyone. You could say a friend was simply a stranger she hadn’t met yet. Louise had such a sweet, sweet, disposition and you didn’t visit her home without being taken care of and fed. You could tell her you just ate, and she would serve you pie or cake, there was no way you’d leave hungry. Louise was the true definition of a classy, southern belle. She was 100 percent all lady. Louise loved to get her hair done and then hit the town for shopping. She was always dressed with such class.
She always spoke of her son Mike, her heart and soul. Louise and Mike were thick as thieves. She would always reach out to him, stating Mike would know the answer, let me call him. It didn’t matter if he was at work or what he was doing. Louise always knew she could count on him to have an answer for her.
She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Louise never took for granted time spent with family, for they were the most important parts of life.
Louise had two favorite places she loved to eat; she enjoyed her fish at Crawdaddy’s and BBQ ribs at Shane’s. Steve would often accompany her to the hair salon or dr. appointments, and they would then visit one of her favorite places to eat.
Louise was preceded in passing by her parents; her beloved husband, Stanley “Stan” Clifford Johnson (June 5, 2024); two brothers: Bobby Walker, Jimmy Walker; one brother-in-law, Robert Loe, one sister Margaret Loe, one nephew Randy Loe and sister-in-law Doris Walker Fraiser.
Left to cherish Louise’s beautiful memory will be her five children: Michael Anthony Liberto, Jeffrey A. Johnson, Jay S. Johnson, Karee Pocock, and Kellee Anderson; fourteen grandchildren: Chelsea Liberto (Kyle Comeaux), Chase Liberto, Ashley Anderson Maratta, Courtney Anderson, Brian Anderson, Bradley Anderson, Karlee Anderson, Sara Pocock, Seth Pocock, Jared Pocock, April Johnson Bernard, Hannah Johnson, Collin Johnson, and Chloe Johnson; fifteen great-grandchildren with one on the way, along with extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
