Memorial Services for Margaret Loraine Matlock Mitchell will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 31, 2013 at First United Methodist Church of Bossier City with Rev. David Dietzel, pastor, officiating. Private graveside services will be in Hill Crest Memorial Park.
Mrs. Mitchell was born December 23, 1928 in Plain Dealing, LA to parents Zeffie Mary (Kirklin) and David Matlock and passed away at her home in Bossier City, LA Monday, January 28, 2013. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Bossier City.
Ms. Mitchell was married 59 years to Roy E. Mitchell, Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Roger Matlock and Cotton Matlock, and granddaughter, Susan Lorain Core. Mrs. Mitchell was survived by her daughter, Laura Core and son-in-law Dr. Dan Core, son, James William Mitchell and daughter-in-law Delaine Mitchell, sister, Marjorie Keith, brother, Donald Matlock, and 4 grandchildren, Randall Core, Jacob Core and wife Jo, Daniel Core, and Patrick Mitchell.
