Marvin Jerome Kirby

Marvin Jerome Kirby, age 83, of Haughton, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025, in Littleton, Colorado. Marvin was born March 11, 1942, in Nilan Hill, Pennsylvania to Howard Wayne Kirby and Sarah Paul Kirby.

Marvin proudly served in the United States Air Force and later worked as a sales manager at Robert's Cigar and Tobacco.

He found great joy in tending his garden, working with his hands in his woodshop, exploring new places through travel, and cherishing time with his loved ones.

Marvin is survived by his wife of 62 years Gloria; daughters, Sharon Martin (Tom) and Susan Calhoun (Dennis); grandchildren, Corey Martin (Victoria), Sara Martin (Chad, fiancée), Eli Calhoun (Layla), Benjamin Calhoun; great-grandchildren, Kayleigh Goss, Jaxsen Carroll, and Jon Ramsey Martin; sister Yvonne Friend (Chuck); sister-in-law, Elaine Saffel (O.G.), brother-in -law, Billy Don Rogers (Suzie) and many loved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Sarah Kirby; brother and sister-in-law, Elton and Jane Kirby; father and mother-in-law, Everett and Eva Dee Rogers; sister-in-law, Frances Mercer, and nephews Dennis and Michael Greene.

Pallbearers will be Corey Martin, Eli Calhoun, Ben Calhoun, Chad Herrin, Robert Lope and Fred Loughner.

A visitation will be held Friday, April 25, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, 601 Hwy 80, Haughton, Louisiana 71037. A memorial service will immediately follow at 10:00 AM at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel. He will be laid to rest in Saline, LA at Millcreek Cemetery.
