Michael Andrew Norris

Michael “Mike” Andrew Norris, 58, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. Services for Mike will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, October 8th, 2015 at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home in Haughton, LA. Interment will follow at Pilkinton Cemetery, E. Linton Rd, Benton, LA. Officiating will be Bryan Reed. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, 601 US-80, Haughton, LA from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Mike was born on December 19, 1956 in Duncan, OK to Berton and Mary Sue Norris. He worked as a Journeyman Lineman for 36 years and spent the last 22 years of his career at AEP/Swepco. Mike was a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and read His word daily. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and friend. He loved spoiling his 3 dogs, spending time on the lake with his family and friends and was always there to lend a helping hand when needed.

Preceding Mike in death are his parents, Berton and Mary Sue Norris and brother, John Norris. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Norris; daughters and their husbands, Doug and Callie Ruffus, Brady and Casey Martin; Jessica Sawyer who he considered his third daughter; six grandchildren, Ty, Ashley, Michael, Chance, Jailan and Keagan; Mother-in-law, Betty Pilkinton; Brother and sister-in-law’s, Ken and Pam Anderson, Tommy and Sharon Pilkinton, and Kim Pilkinton; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Honoring Mike as pallbearers will be Tommy Pilkinton, Ken Anderson, Jeremy Anderson, Brady Martin, Michael Martin, Chance Martin, Doug Ruffus and Ty Evans.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Noah Schulze at Covenant Church, PO Box 1463 Benton, LA 71006
