

Ramona H. McClain, 92, formerly of Bossier City, LA, passed away at her residence on Monday, September 15, 2025, in Canyon Lake, TX. She was born on September 24, 1932, in Logansport, LA, to Howard H. Harris and Lena M. Bridwell Harris.
After graduating high school, Ramona modeled for the historic and iconic Chicago-based department store chain, Marshall Fields, at the store's famous flagship location on State Street in Chicago, IL. She later became an artist for Hemenway Furniture Company in Shreveport, LA, in addition to working in clerical support for the Food Industry. She was a lifelong enthusiast ardently devoted to art, music, and flowers and possessed a gentle and compassionate love for animals.
Ramona was preceded in death by husbands, Paul Wellborn, Sr., and Richard O. McClain. She is survived by daughter, Grace Estill and husband J.R. and son, Paul Welborn and wife Pam, as well as, four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
A visitation will begin at 9:00 on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with a service at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park.
Honoring Ramona as pallbearers will be J.R. Estill, Paul Wellborn, Eric Estill, Travis Estill, Jay Webb and David Webb.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to ICU Nurses, Monica, Vesta and Melissa, at Methodist Hospital Stone Oak, San Antonio, TX, for their dedication, compassion and support during the care of our beloved Ramona.
