

Born on September 18, 1941, in Jackson, Tennessee, Robert later made his home in Bossier City, where he built a life centered around his wife and family, hard work, and quiet kindness.
He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army.
Robert retired from Cast Metals and later owned and operated Star Windshield Repair. He was known for his steady work ethic and dedication to providing for his family.
In his free time, Robert enjoyed playing golf, especially alongside his beloved wife and friends. He will be remembered as a quiet and very kind soul whose presence brought comfort to those around him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Prentyce Utley and Annie Jacobs Utley.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Gloria Day Utley, whom he married on February 25, 1978; his children, Kimberly Lynn Belt (David), Terry Allan Blake, and Robert Jason Utley; and his cherished grandchildren, Hunter Blake, BJ Layfield, Gabe Smith, Jack Utley, and Ansley Utley.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2026, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, 601 US-80 W, Haughton, Louisiana 71037, followed by a funeral service at 2:30 p.m.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
