Life Celebration services for Roger Ferguson are scheduled for 2 PM, Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Shady Grove Baptist Church, 4227 Van Deeman St., Bossier City, 71112. Pastor Nick Sorrell will serve as officiant for the service.
Barbara Ingram and Derwood D. Ferguson, Jr., welcomed Roger Quinn into the world on January, 20, 1961 in Columbus, MS. Roger made his living as an auto body and paint technician, but found his life in gathering with his family and in working with his hands. He loved woodworking, and would gift his creations to family and friends. From cutting boards to coasters to hanging flower pots, it seemed that there was not an end to the variety of items he could create. He also REALLY loved Rock and Roll and playing his drums (loudly)— a trait he passed down to his nephew. Mr. Ferguson passed peacefully, surrounded by family on November 4, 2018 at the age of 57.
Preceding Roger in death are his father; two brothers, Stanley and Andy Ferguson; one sister, Beverly Lewis; and two nieces, Tiffany Ferguson and Martha Lewis. Left to cherish his memory are his mother; sister, Nancy Spataro with husband Rickey; brother, Gary Ferguson; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and good friends.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to Southern Care Hospice for their compassionate care in the last few months.
In Lieu of flowers, the family recommends a donation be made to the American Cancer Society in his honor. www.donate.cancer.org
