Ronald was born to Archie Leroy and Mary Lois Blackwelder McClain on April 24, 1951 in Shreveport, LA. And passed away on May 2, 2017 in Ringgold, LA. He was passionate about sports. When he committed to a team (LSU) there were no interruptions. Ronald loved fishing, hunting and golf.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Judy McClain and brother, Cliff McClain.
Ronald was survived by his sons, Ronald McClain, Jr. and wife Lisa of Heflin, LA, Randy and Tiffany McClain of Heflin, LA and Matthew McClain of Shreveport, LA; sisters; Cynthia McClain Tipton of Ringgold, LA and Gloria McClain Gilliam of Lafayette, LA; brothers, Gary McClain and wife Sissy of Stonewall, LA and Jimmy McClain of Lafayette, IN, and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and his much loved, four legged best friend, Lucy.
