March 31, 1950 - March 17, 2025
Sandra Delois Glover Menna was born March 31, 1950 in Star City, Arkansas and passed away peacefully at her home in Haughton, Louisiana, March 17, 2025 after suffering multiple, chronic health issues for many years. She was seventy-four years old. Born to Bennie and Ruby Glover, she was the fifth child of six children and was loved and supported by her family throughout her life.
During her early years as a young girl, Sandra was taught about Christian principles and the love of Jesus Christ, and she gave her life to Him at an early age. Most of her social activities revolved around family gatherings, school functions, and church activities. She was a life-long Baptist and enjoyed singing in the choir and in the many congregations where she worshipped throughout her life.
She spent her adult life as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother where she found her greatest joys in creating a loving home and taking care of others. She took her role as a homemaker very seriously and there was always room for one more at her house and always enough for everyone to eat and she prided herself on preparing home cooked meals for her family daily. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed creating beautiful garments for those she loved, and one felt very special if you were the recipient of something she made for you as she had an eye for design and detail.
She met the love of her life, Joseph Menna, Jr. in 1992 and they remained married until his death in 2023. They were truly devoted to one another in every aspect of life. Sandra and Joe loved traveling, going to the movies, enjoying great food, and spending time with family.
Sandra is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Menna, Jr., her parents, Bennie and Ruby Glover, two of her brothers, Bennie Jr. and Danny Glover. She is survived by two daughters: Robin Tucker of Dubberly and husband Scott; Holley Morris of Haughton: Three grandchildren Luke Boyle of Clayton, North Carolina (wife Abby), Jake Boyle, Homer, Louisiana, and Anna Claire Tucker, Bossier City, Louisiana: Five great-grandchildren: Kaydence, Rebekah, Alyx, Harper, and Valerie: Special bonus daughter Robin Quickle and grandson Jeffrey: Two sisters Frances Eason of Russellville, Arkansas, Gloria Lamb of Star City, Arkansas, and brother Bobby Glover of Star City, Arkansas and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A private, family graveside service will be held Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 10:00 AM in Haughton, LA.
As a Christian, Sandra loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and talked about her relationship with Him often. A verse to bring comfort to those who loved her can be found in Revelation 21:4: “There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
