Thomas "Tommy" Albert Mosley

Thomas "Tommy" Albert Mosley, 80, of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed on to greener pastures on May 10, 2022. Tommy was born the son of the late Robert Eli and Annie Elizabeth Mosley on June 21, 1941 in Little Rock, Arkansas and grew up working on his family farm in Magnolia, Arkansas. A devoted and beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Tommy was a highly regarded oilfield service contractor and consultant for the majority of his life and learned early in his youth that the value of possessing a strong work ethic was accomplished by earning it through hard labor, intuitive grit and integrity enveloped in a competitive drive to outwork the sun every day.

Tommy was married for 56 years to his loving and supportive wife, Nancy Evans Mosley of Marlinton, West Virginia, who will deeply miss the comforting presence Tommy provided his family. A union that propelled in tandem as two wings of the same ambitious bird, Tommy and Nancy understood in order to get off the ground, they must first work together to lay a solid foundation built upon respect, admiration, trust, perseverance and a marriage based in Christian principles. These were the guiding elements that allowed them to soar through the calm times, as well as the storms that not only life provided them, but also the ebbs and flows of the oilfield business.

In 1973, Tommy partnered together with his brother Bob Mosley to establish Mosley Well Service where he dedicated much of his life while working alongside brothers Rickey, Dennis, Mickey and Bill and many beloved employees over the years as the business expanded into Arkansas and Texas. As the company flourished, Tommy captured a remarkable reputation in the industry due to his knowledge, experience, ethic, and adamant follow through, but it was his desire to share these successes and help others do the same that truly made Tommy and incredible man.

Those left to treasure Tommy's memory include his two children Michael Mosley of Haughton, Louisiana and Whitney Mosley of Little Rock, Arkansas as well as cherished grandchildren, Ford and Alexandra Fuqua of Little Rock, Arkansas. Also surviving are brother Bob Mosley of Haughton, Louisiana, brother Bill Mosley and his wife Alvinene of Magnolia, Arkansas, brother Mickey Mosley of Liberty, Texas, brother Rickey Mosley of Pecola, Oklahoma, brother Dennis Mosley and his wife Melanie of Doyline, Louisiana, sister Bettye Warren of Dallas, Texas. Preceded in death are brothers Ronnie and John Mosley and sister Mary Ann Mosley.

An adoring grandfather, Tommy was deeply proud of Ford and Alexandra and loved being their "P-Pop". Tommy's name was synonymous with dependability, accountability, and consistency in all that he did. There was an unspoken trust communicated through his words because they were always supported by his actions an ability to get the job done while remaining honest, yet humble in accomplishing the task at hand.

Tommy lived by the word of God in Colossians 3:23

Work hard at whatever you do, as though you were working directly for the Lord rather than for the people.

A visitation for Tommy will be held Sunday, May 15, 2022 from 1:00PM to 2:00PM at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, 601 Highway 80 East, Haughton, Louisiana 71037 followed by the funeral service at 2:00PM. Interment will immediately follow services at Hill Crest Memorial Park and a reception will be held beginning at 3:30 in the State Room at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Clay Mosley, Eric Mosley, Lance Mosley, Jeff Jones, Mike Jones, Thomas Fuqua and honorary pallbearers will be Ford Fuqua and Michael Mosley.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donation made in Tommy's honor to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
