Services celebrating the life of Tommy F. McWilliams will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Pease Chapel Cemetery. Officiating the services will be Rev. Danny Moffett and Rev. Reggie Moffett. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Tommy was born on August 13, 1940 in Vandalia, IL and passed away on August 5, 2022 in Bossier City, LA. He was an army veteran and a longtime public servant for Bossier Parish. He began his career in Law Enforcement in 1972 with the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office and retired as a Major in 2003. He continued to serve as a Bailiff for several years after.
Tommy’s was a fan of two sports: NASCAR and football, he loved watching races and LSU as well as Saints games. He enjoyed weight lifting, and traveling whenever he could. Tommy was a family man and his grandchildren and great grandchildren brought him the most joy.
He was preceded in death by his son, Tommy Ray McWilliams; parents, Vernie and Alice McWilliams; brother, Tots McWilliams and sister, Diane Holt.
Tommy is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Virginia McWilliams; grandchildren, Hunter McWilliams and wife Haley; Baylee McWilliams and fiancé Zach Parnell; great grandchildren, Tucker McWilliams and Palmer Parnell as well as nieces, nephews, extended family members and many dear friends.
Pallbearers will be Hunter McWilliams, Zach Parnell, Chris Moffett, Jeremy Moffett, Zach Moffett, and Joel Fair. Honorary pallbearers will be Sheriff Julian Whittington, and the Bossier Sheriff Deputies.
The family would like to thank the medical staff at Christus Bossier Emergency Hospital, and all the loving friends and families supporting them during these times.
