

BENTON LA – Services for Victoria Marie Watson Colvin, 66, will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel on Friday, January 25, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home.
Vickye was born on August 20, 1946 in Ponca City, Oklahoma, and went to be with Lord on January 22, 2013 surrounded by her family and friends. She was a long time member of Living Word Family Church. She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior as a young girl. She continued to be inspired to dig deep into her faith, and share God’s word and instill Godly values into her family. She also enjoyed reading, shopping, drawing, spending time with her family, watching old movies. Vickye loved the few times she was able to spend time at the beach surrounded by her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Billie Lee Watson and Verna Marjorie Watson; her loving husband of 48 years, Roy Colvin and her in-laws, Richard Crosby and Helen Colvin,
Vickye leaves behind to cherish her memory: son, Bryan L. Colvin and wife Tonya; daughter, Deena K. Colvin Schafer and husband Derrick; daughter, Megan Colvin; grandchildren, Julia G Schafer, Natalie M. Schafer, Michael Schafer, Abigail C. Colvin, Aiden C. Colvin; sisters, Beena Preddy and her husband Mark, Sharron L. Christ; brother, Michael J. Watson; brother-in-law Robert Christ; Aunt Rhonda and Uncle Glen Friesen along with many nieces and nephews.
Honoring her as pallbearers will be Derrick Schafer, Mark Preddy Sr., Mark Preddy Jr., Joe Young, Robert Christ and Taylor Whitaker. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Watson, Aiden Colvin, Michael Schafer, Dr. Eric LeBlanc, Mike Searing, Buddy Grant and Dorsey Gressel.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to American Cancer Society.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Willis Knighton Hospice, Stephanie Price and Julie, Willis Knighton Cancer Center, Dr. Maxwell “Chip” McDonald, Melanie Fulghum as well as all her friends and family for their prayers and support during this time.
