Virginia B. Parker

BOSSIER CITY, LA – Services to celebrate the life of Virginia B. Parker, 78, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 14, 2015, at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Dr. Randy Harper of Bellaire Baptist Church where Virginia was a member. Interment will follow in Campground Cemetery, Winthrop, AR. The family will receive guests on Wednesday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Virginia was born on June 2, 1936, and passed away on the evening of May 10, 2015. She retired from Bell South with thirty years of faithful employment. Virginia was an avid reader, and an excellent cook. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and taking care of those she loved.

Virginia is preceded in death by her parents, David and Hattie Bush; brother, Mickey Bush, Sr.; nephew, Mickey Bush, Jr., and niece, Dee Dee Chandler. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Mitchell Hammonds and wife Lil, and Connie Rosalies and husband Howard; sisters, Betty Sumner and husband Jerry, and Nona Ryals and husband Clayton; and brothers, Bobby Bush and wife Donna, and Rex Bush.

The family would like to thank the staff of Home Instead for all of their care and compassion, especially caregivers, Tammy, Lou, Crystal, and Katrina.
