Winston Woodrow Loe, Jr. was born on June 6, 1947, in Hodge, LA, and passed away peacefully on July 29, 2020 in Bossier City. Winston was born and raised in Quitman, LA by his parents, Winston Woodrow, Sr. and Addie Loe. He was raised with his two loving sisters, Lawanda McFearin and the late Charlotte Hanes. He graduated from Quitman High School and then started his oilfield career which spanned over 55 years. Winston built numerous successful oilfield businesses, and later in life he was a stock contractor for the PBR and CBR. He was always a good judge of character and could see the potential in others before they could see it themselves.
Winston was a devoted dad and “Paw” who always displayed patience and love. He leaves behind his four children: Woody Loe and wife Tara, Kelli King and husband Stacy, Kristi Loe-White and husband Brandon, and Kari Whitlow and husband Mikey; grandchildren: Kade & Tyler Schufft, Harli Camp, Jase White, Blake Leggett, Kourtney Loe, Payton & Tanner Blalock, and Kyleigh & McKenli Whitlow.
Winston recognized that he had an amazing life and was ready to enter the gates of Heaven to reunite with his best friend and grandson, Kolbe. The family would like to thank the numerous friends who have reached out during this time. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kolbe Schufft Memorial Scholarship Fund at Bank of Montgomery in Haughton, LA would be greatly appreciated.
Visitation is Sunday, August 2, from 5:00-8:00 pm at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, and the funeral will be held at First Baptist Church of Haughton at 10:00 am on Monday, August 3. Please follow social distancing precautions.
Pallbearers are the following: Hal Boggs, Micah Hanson, Tod Holloway, Allen Kimmell, Mike Powell and Ricky Rains. Honorary pallbearers are Richard Anderson, Chad Berger, Gary Bell, Murphy Chestnut, Terry Gray, Manny Heafner, Cory Melton and Hunt Powell.
